This is where, in 1289, Lucignano formally paid homage to Siena. The churc, saped like an Egyptian cross, with a single nave, has some really magnificent stone altars dating from the XVI centuries, an organ conserved in an original XVI century wooden chest, frescoes of scenes from the Stories of Saint Francis painted by Bartolo di Fredi and Tadeeo du Bartolo, as well as the wonderful Triumph of Death above the firs altar on the right wall of the nave.
